About the
International Bible Lessons L.G. Parkhurst, Jr. founded the International Bible Lessons web site in March of 2007. He began publishing Christian books in 1980, and he has written the weekly Bible Lesson based on the Uniform Bible Lesson Series for “The Oklahoman” newspaper since September 1989. He is a native Oklahoman, born in Broken Arrow and living in Edmond, Oklahoma. As a Christian pastor, currently serving Stonegate Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, he makes his Bible Lessons freely available to everyone for not for profit uses on his International Bible Lessons website and also provides lessons for the Easy Bible Lessons web site. He does not repeat or reprint his Bible Lessons, preferring to write fresh Bible Lessons each week. Since he has written more than 850 Bible Lessons, and has written through the entire Bible three times, he does plan to publish some collections of his Bible Lessons in books. He is happy to discuss the publication of his weekly Bible Lessons with newspapers in Oklahoma or elsewhere. L.G. has received the Master of Arts Degree in Philosophy and the Master of Library and Information Studies Degree from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma. He received the Master of Divinity Degree with emphasis in New Testament Studies and Greek from Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey. He serves as an ordained minister in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Having
published more than thirty-five books since 1980, he began
Agion Press
in 2005. A Bible-believing Christian, he wrote the first
biography of Francis Schaeffer in 1985:
